We hold regular events that our members are invited (encouraged) to join. Come and socialise with us and make new friends.
Below you will find a list of our regular events. Please also follow us on social media to stay updated with anything new.

TIME TRIAL
Join us every Thursday night for drinks at the pub after running our Time Trial. The time trial is open to all and you do not need to be a member to run.
BRAAI NIGHT
The first Thursday of every month is Braai Night which happens after time trial. Bring your own meat and salads, we will light the braais for you to cook and gather around, enjoy a drink from the bar and socialise. Kids are welcome and love to play on the field.
Our members’ families and friends are welcome to join us on braai nights and see what Hillcrest Villagers is all about.
PUB RUN
Join us for our annual fun-filled, fancy dressed run from pub to pub in Hillcrest. Villagers light up the local streets and join in on games, laughter and a beer or three.
MARATHON HELPERS RUN
The HVAC Marathon Helpers Run is held the day before our marathon for all our HVAC members who are helping on the big day. Run 21kms on the marathon route though Hillcrest and Winston Park.
VALENTINE’S TIME TRIAL
Show the streets of Hillcrest our love with a fun time trial dressed up for Valentine’s Day. Win the best dressed and join us for a braai afterwards.
COMRADES ACHES AND PAINS PARTY
Hillcrest Villager members are well known for having a large turn out at the Comrades Marathon. We hold the popular Aches and Pains party the day afterwards to reminisce about Comrades events and celebrate our members’ achievments.
HERITAGE DAY BRAAI
What better way to celebrate our South African heritage than around the braai at the club. Bring your friends and families and come and join in the fun. The kids love to play on the field while the adults relax and chat around the fire.
YEAR END AWARDS EVENING
The annual HVAC awards evening is always a favourite. A get together to recognise the achievements of our members for the past year.
WESTVILLE CHRISTMAS RUN
Westville always bring on the Christmas festivities with their 15km run. Whether you want to take it seriously or join HVAC’s bus, complete with a float piled high with refreshments for the route, this is a run not to be missed.
CHAIRMAN’S RUN
The annual Chairman’s Run is the last social event of the year before the club closes for the festive season. A time trial (guess the distance) and a yes – yet another fancy dress! Prizes for best dressed of course, followed by a bring and braai. The whole family is invited so come and join us!!
